Joliet High School Career Fair

On February 17th, 2023, IBEW Local 15 Business Representatives Brian Daniels and Mike Keating along with stewards Brad Gritt and Mario Lopez joined Braidwood Station in a career fair at Joliet Central High School. The event was a collaboration between Braidwood Nuclear Generating Station and Joliet Jr. College. Approximately 40 junior and senior high school students were presented with information from several different departments from Braidwood Station and learned about the programs J.J.C offers. Local 15 was on hand to explain the different jobs we perform, worker safety, and representation. This presentation educated students about the alternate pathways to a rewarding future in electric generation.
