Donald J. Bowman, 87, of Streator passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2024, at O. S. F. St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, December 19th at Solon-Telford Funeral Home in Streator. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM Thursday, December 19th at Solon-Telford Funeral Home in Streator. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Born March 3, 1937, in Streator, he was the son Donald and Marie (Yurick) Bowman. He married Carmen Emmons on Feb. 10, 1962 in Streator. He is survived by a daughter, Robin (Patrick) Turner of Streator; five grandchildren, Amanda(Rick) Arkels, Zackary (Katie) Turner, Jerimiah, Benjamin and Alexandrea Turner; fifteen greatgrandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen; his parents; a grandson, Rayden Turner and a sister, Jane Sims. Donald served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1959. After his service, he worked for Anthony Company as a machinist. Later he worked at Commonwealth Edison from 1977-1992.Donald was a member of the Sandy Ford Sportsman Club.
